About
Arizona Native
I was born and raised in the Arizona desert. This is home, and it's who I build for.
Owner Operator
In 2018 I started Liquid Breathwork, a Breathwork training business. Breathwork is a hard niche to grow a business in. It doesn't pay especially well, and there's no shortcut in it.
I found Breathwork myself at a point when I was going through an existential kind of crisis, when I'd lost my sense of meaning. Breathwork helped me find that meaning again, and reignited something in me. That's why I built a business around it: I wanted to give other people the same thing it gave me.
Running that business meant wearing every hat. Sales, content, the website, the books, the actual teaching. It was humbling, and it made me good at business in a way nothing else could have.
The Turning Point
A couple years ago, Liquid Breathwork's website barely existed to Google. As few as 17 clicks in a month at the low point.
Google Search Console, Feb 2026.
I started using AI, seriously, not to replace myself but to get more done. It made me roughly 10x more productive. Work that used to take months now takes days or weeks.
Today that same site pulls a peak of 1,647 clicks a month, gets cited by ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity 684 times in 82 days, and sends real customers my way.
Google Search Console, Jun 2026 (clicks). Microsoft Clarity, Mar 1 to May 21 2026 (citations).
I can point to over $8k in revenue generated specifically from recommendations that came from ChatGPT and Google Gemini.
I did that to my own business before I ever offered it to anyone else.
The Philosophy
Here's the part that matters most to me. I'm careful not to let AI turn into slop. I use it to get more done, not to mass-produce generic content that could be anyone's.
Keeping things authentic and representative of who I am, and who my clients are, matters to me as much as it matters to any business owner with a personal brand people actually connect with. AI only belongs in the mix where it doesn't take away the human part.
That's the whole philosophy behind Sonoran Intelligence. I only bring AI in where it actually helps, and I leave the human part alone.
Proof, Not A Pitch
Since 2018, running a real business. I built and rank my own sites myself, including liquidbreathwork.com. My background isn't a marketing degree or a Breathwork certification (I have those too, but they're off-topic here). It's actually building a local business and making AI work for it.
At A Glance
I'm Ryan McBurney, an Arizona native based in Phoenix and the owner of Sonoran Intelligence. I've run Liquid Breathwork, a Breathwork training business, since 2018, and I used AI to take its own website from 17 clicks a month at its low point (Google Search Console, Feb 2026) to a peak of 1,647 (Jun 2026), while ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity now cite it 684 times in 82 days (Microsoft Clarity, Mar 1 to May 21 2026) and send it real customers. I bring that same approach, AI used for leverage, never to replace the human part of a business, to other Arizona business owners through Sonoran Intelligence.
It's the business I built first, and the one I proved this approach on. Sonoran Intelligence is where I bring that same approach to other Arizona business owners.
I don't have a marketing degree. I have a real business I've run since 2018, and I taught myself to use AI well enough to grow it from 17 clicks a month at its low point to a peak of 1,647. That's the expertise I bring.
Google Search Console, Feb 2026 low, Jun 2026 peak.
Because I did it on my own business before I offered it to anyone else. The niche is different. The problem is the same: get found, get trusted, get customers, without losing what makes the business yours.
